As governments, organisations and individual change-makers across the globe are ramping up efforts to tackle the climate crisis, there’s an innovative and novel way to help you take real, impactful action.
And we're officially launching our commercial operations today. We offer unique, globally uniformed thermal imagery which helps you to track, measure and get key data insights on the human activities impacting our planet. With this valuable data, you can set achievable goals that will make a real difference within your industry, and hopefully beyond.
We have an exclusive ‘development in use’ licence to image the earth at the highest resolution currently possible – 3.5m GSD NADIR. With this one-of-a-kind licence, our revolutionary HOTSAT-1 satellite captures images to help you to make informed decisions and take the action needed to reach your corporate, social and environmental goals.
From general earth observation (GEO) and Defence and Intelligence insights, to monitoring industrial activity and built environments, high resolution thermal imaging can add value through so many different applications.
There are 3 parts to our brand new commercial offering:
Extracting environmental data is at the heart of everything we do. There’s no other organisation that can offer imaging with this type of resolution on a global scale – and to order.
This imaging can give us vital insights into the climate issues we face, and in turn, tangible solutions to these very real problems, in line with global Net Zero goals and SDG’s.
Thermal imaging offers insights for a wide range of scenarios, including:
During the summer, Canada experienced its worst wildfire season on record; tens of thousands of people had to be evacuated, with the total burnt area exceeding more than six times the ten year average.
Captured on the night of 27th of July, this image shows wildfires in Canada’s Northwest Territories. With the active fire fronts depicted in vivid orange, emergency responders were able to predict the speed of progression and possible paths for impact.
HOTSAT-1 uses high resolution thermal infrared wavelengths to capture clearer images, unobscured by smoke, which is impenetrable at visible wavelengths. Our imagery could become an indispensable tool for firefighters across the globe… But that’s just one application.
With high value, high resolution, geospatial imagery and data the potential for solving some of our biggest global issues is limitless.
It’s a really exciting time at SatVu, and we’re delighted to show you how you can utilise space for good.
